Leicester has had the country’s biggest spike in Covid-19 infections and so-called “experts” are still asking why. Isn’t it blatantly, bleedin’ obvious why – because not enough people there have been sticking to the rules. If infections everywhere else – especially in the capital with its NINE million population – are plummeting thanks to people washing their hands, keeping a safe distance, restricting journeys or exposing themselves to people outside their immediate families – it’s clear they’re rocketing in Leicester, which has a population of just 330,000, because not enough people have been doing all of the above.
So, while the rest of England escapes its lockdown chains today, Leicester won’t. And THAT isn’t the Government’s fault. It’s the fault of those selfish people who have flouted the rules.
