Work began on the weight room last year, utilizing the stage area in the school’s gym with things such as free weights and exercise equipment. The athletic department used grant funds and a donation from the Booster Club to get the equipment, said Woodward.
The students are allowed to use the weight room under adult supervision, said Woodward, adding that she is currently working on getting adult supervision into the weight room for students to use during study hall periods.
