Becoming a proverbial ‘old fart’ had never really occurred to me, it was something older people did! When Norman Robertson, my predecessor, said, ‘Why don’t you give it a go?’, I thought it was the right time and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. It’s a big job, though, and even in my first week I’ve been on the phone incessantly.
