Gatland: Win well to scare the rest
WARREN Gatland has urged his Wales side to gain a psychological advantage over their World Cup rivals by putting Fiji and Uruguay to the sword to top Pool D in Japan.

Head coach Gatland believes finishing with four wins from four and securing a likely quarter-final with France will send a big message to the rest of the tournament.

Wales face Fiji in Oita on Wednesday before finishing off their group stage by meeting Uruguay.

Gatland said: “The next two matches are very important. Fiji are going to be tough for us. They had a great performance against Georgia.

“They are very much a confidence side so we’ll have to be on top of our game.

“Psychologically it’s quite important for us to win the next two games, win this group, and then to start thinking about our quarter-final opponent.”

Changes are likely to be minimal for Fiji. Wholesale rotation is then expected for the Uruguay clash.
