Butter Won't Let Chance Slip
Milan Butterfield’s late equaliser sent this tie at a wet Edgeley Park into penalties – and then he coolly stroked home the winning spot-kick to send Chesterfield through at the expense of National League rivals Stockport County.

Butterfield stepped up to deliver the final blow in the shootout after John Rooney and Sam Minihan had missed for the Hatters.

Stockport had earlier taken the lead though Liam Hogan on 58 minutes before Butterfield struck the leveller four minutes from time.

Chesterfield had the best of the first half with David Buchanan forcing Ben Hinchliffe into a save before target man Tom Denton’s flick header sent Nathan Tyson clear on goal but Hinchliffe rushed out to smother his effort.
