Andrade revels in Ammies move

‘I WENT TO A SIDE THAT WANTED ME'

BRUNO Andrade says he joined League Two Salford because he no longer felt wanted by Lincoln City.

A key component of the Imps side that won promotion to League One under Danny Cowley last season, the forward was again ever-present until injury struck in November.

But with his two-year deal expiring in May, Andrade says the club made no move to offer improved terms.

So, when big-spending Salford – owned by Singaporean billionaire Peter Lim and a bunch of ex-Manchester United stars – made their move a fortnight ago, Andrade felt compelled to jump ship.

The move angered a large section of the Lincoln support, who accused the 26-year old of selling out. Andrade, though, insists there is more to the move than money.

“I’ve got my criticism and that’s fair enough,” concedes the former QPR trainee. “It does look strange when somebody drops a league.

“But people don’t know what happens behind the scenes. A lot of things have gone on, some personal reasons as well.
