The Star Wars universe keeps expanding — and in Rogue One, the latest addition to the blockbuster franchise (in theaters Dec. 16), acclaimed British actress Felicity Jones takes center stage.
This stand-alone film, set shortly before the events of the 1977 original, stars Felicity as Jyn Erso, a troubled young woman who is recruited to help the rebels gain intel about the Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star. For the 33-year-old actress, who until this year was featured mostly in smaller indie films, “there’s a level of anxiety,” she admits, “but it’s great fun to be a part of. You can’t prepare yourself for [the hoopla] — you’ve just got to go with it and see what happens.”
