In the sheer ridiculousness of the charge, AAP saw an opportunity for electoral gains. On February 3, they released a video in which some of the families of services personnel who have died in the line of duty expressed outrage at the BJP’s “terrorist” jibe. The “families of martyrs”, AAP claims, are particularly angry because their government has not only expressed its sympathy but also provided Rs 1 crore in financial support.
