Multi-million euro investment taking shape but no public car parking will be an issue.
Letterkenny’s new multimillion euro courthouse is on course to be in use by the end of September, the Post can reveal.
The four-storey building, located on the site of the former leisure centre and swimming pool, is now really taking shape.
It will comprise four courtrooms, compared with just two in the existing courthouse on Justice Walsh Road.
Significantly, though, the new courthouse will also have extensive office space for the Courts Service and members of the legal profession as well as having enhanced facilities for the public.
“We are delighted to report there has been great the progress on Letterkenny’s new courthouse,” a spokesman for the Courts Service told the Post, adding: “We are aiming for the court to be operational by late September.”
