YOU WERE BORN IN MOSCOW, IN A FAMILY OF SCIENTISTS OF THE ALL-UNION SCALE. HOW DID YOU DECIDE TO MOVE TO THE STATES AND BECOME A MODEL?

I have always loved and love Russia. I have the warmest relations with my family, but I wanted to live my own life, and not just be the daughter of famous parents. Already as a teenager, I felt an urgent need to choose, take responsibility, set goals, and learn – what I was interested in, not what my parents had predicted for me. In those years, I listened to the radio, various political programs, discussions – it was unreal, like a door to another world. Then dreams of America began. I was attracted to this country, but then I could not even think about going there because of the situation of our family in the USSR and the status of absolute secrecy of my grandfather and father.

TODAY, YOU ARE A POPULAR MODEL. HOW DID IT START?

Is quite prosaic. During my first years in new York, I worked, attended auditions, learned the language, and... I was lonely. You just stay alone with yourself in a strange city. Periodically, the melancholy swept over that nothing would work and everything was in vain. But I kept going. The character I have from my grandfather... during this period, I thought a lot about my family, about how grateful I am to them. I was instilled with the main qualities that a person should have regardless of the profession-decency, hard work, and optimism. Yes, in that order. They helped me achieve such success.
