With their second of three first-round picks, the 18th overall, the Dolphins selected USC tackle Austin Jackson.

He was selected with the first-round pick the Dolphins obtained from the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2019 traded involving safety Minkah Fitzpatrick.

COLLEGE CAREER

Three-year letterman and two-year starter at USC

Started 25 games the past two seasons at left tackle

Played in 14 games as a true freshman in 2017

Blocked two field goals (one in 2017, one in 2019)

COLLEGE HONORS

First-team All-Pac-12 and honorable mention All America in 2019 ... Won the USC Chris Carlisle Courage Award ... Co-recipient of the USC John McKay Award in 2018.

Jackson’s official measurements were 6-5, 322 pounds, arms 341⁄8 long and 101⁄4-inch hands.

These were his results in the drills:

40-yard dash: 5.07

Bench press: 27 reps

Vertical jump: 31.0

Broad jump: 115.0

3-cone drill: 7.95

He did not participate in the 20-yard shuttle or 60-yard shuttle.
