It's A Wrap!

HOW TO MAKE:

1. POMPOM WOW

You will need: Yarn, fork, sharp scissors.

Step 1: Wrap yarn around fork prongs.

Step 2: After 15 to 20 revolutions, thread piece of yarn through fork’s middle prongs and tie firmly around layers of yarn.

Step 3: Carefully remove tied yarn from prongs. Cut each loop at the centre point, fluffout into ball, then trim to neaten.

2. CUTE WOOLLY TASSELS

You will need: Yarn, 5-cm x 10-cm piece of cardboard, scissors.

Step 1: Wrap ball of yarn around longer sides of cardboard about 15 times. Cut ball of yarn.

Step 2: Cut 15-cm piece of yarn and slide one end under wrapped yarn on one side of cardboard. Pull to top and tie in loose knot.

Step 3: At bottom of tassel, cut through layers of yarn. Carefully remove cardboard.

Step 4: Tighten knot at tassel’s top then thread piece through bead for tying to gift.

Step 5: Cut another piece of yarn and wrap around tassel, about 1-cm from top. Tie a knot, then tuck ends into tassel.

3. FREEHAND COLOUR POP PAPER

You will need: Plain white wrapping paper, paint in various colours, paintbrush.

Step 1: Select paint colour and paint short, fat strokes on paper. Let dry.

Step 2: With another colour, paint strokes slightly overlapping first strokes in different directions.
