Australian International School

Australian International School (AIS) is the only school in SG offering Australian Curriculum and International Baccalaureate (IB). The school prides itself on being globally focused while remaining distinctly Australian in its culture and attitude. There’s a strong team spirit between students, parents and staff, and an emphasis on arts, sports and outdoors education.

Insider tip: AIS shares the purpose-built Early Learning Village with Stamford American International School (page 14), which provides top-notch infant care from 2 months and up.

Canadian International School

Founded in 1990, Canadian International School (CIS) is an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School with more than 3,300 students between two campuses: Lakeside in the west (2 to 18 years) and Tanjong Katong in the east (2 to 12 years). The school is known for its academic achievements and a well-rounded approach.

Chatsworth International School

With an enrolment of 800 students for Kindergarten through Year 13 (Grade 12) across two campuses, Chatsworth takes pride in its “small school” ethos and nurturing environment. It offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes to students of more than 50 nationalities. Located next to Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, the campus has a serene yet vibrant feel.

Insider tip: Its upcoming brand-new, purpose-built Forest Playground features innovative structures for kids aged 3 to 12.

Dover Court International School

Dover Court International School’s broad and balanced programme is within the framework of the English National Curriculum. Pupils come from more than 60 nationalities, making it a diverse experience for children and parents alike. Part of the Nord Anglia family of schools, students utilise Global Campus to connect with peers at Nord Anglia schools worldwide via online, in-school and worldwide expeditions.

Insider tip: Collaborations with Juillard offer a platform for students to develop their talents in performing arts.

Dulwich College (Singapore)

Dulwich College (Singapore) is an International school with a British Independent school ethos and values, and draws upon 400 years of excellence and tradition from the original Dulwich College in the U.K. Opened here in 2014, the school has a strong duallanguage English and Mandarin programme, and boasts three libraries, a Performing Arts Centre with three theatres, three swimming pools and other exceptional facilities.

Insider tip: Dulwich has a new Forest School site on campus and is the first international school in SG with one run by an accredited Forest School leader.

EtonHouse

EtonHouse For more than 20 years, EtonHouse has delivered a curriculum not solely focused on academics, but also on helping children develop life skills. Pupils can progress from preschool right through to high school, where both IGCSE and IB Diplomas are offered at its various locations. Primary and Secondary students have access to sports science, design thinking and entrepreneurship programmes. In High School there’s a SMART programme built around Science, Mathematics, Art, Research and Technology.

Insider tip: Its Sentosa outlet is expanding to accommodate more Primary students.

GEMS World Academy (Singapore)

GEMS offers all four International Baccalaureate (IB) Programmes from Kindergarten to Grade 12: Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma and Career-related Programmes. Students in Grades 9 and 10 can also complete Cambridge IGCSE courses. Beyond the core curriculum, it has GEMS Sports Academy Programmes and a recently built Design Centre.

GESS

Providing IB curriculum in English and German curriculum in German from Preschool to Grade 12, GESS is a not-for-profit school with European foundations. In mid-2018, GESS moved to a new campus, which has impressive sports, design, music, drama, and arts facilities.
