A Ruling Legacy
The Pasha de Cartier, a dominant figure in the world of haute horology for over three decades, undergoes a new transformation with exciting versatile features
Ryanne Cheng Co

Thirty-five years and two redesigns later, the Pasha de Cartier has become a ruling figure in the world of watchmaking. Its vintage appeal has put the timepiece, which was originally launched in 1985, at the top of list for horologists. It also transcended gender norms, first becoming popular with the men in the Eighties, and then attracting the stylish women as well. This may have been due to its powerful yet sleek design with recognisable Arabic numerals and graphic signature: a square filigree rail-track inside the circle of its dial.

The watch has been redesigned twice since its launch: in 1995, and most recently, in 2020.

The timepiece’s latest iteration manages to retain the appeal of the iconic Eighties model but with a few added innovations.
