Light governs how everything is perceived by the eye, which explains its crucial role in many forms of art, not least make-up artistry. But cosmetics aren’t the only things that can change the appearance of facial features—skincare can also alter how you look by changing the contours of your face and texture of your skin, as well as bringing illumination to it.
Swiss luxury skincare brand La Prairie launched two products formulated with its signature caviar ingredient—the White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion serum in 2017 and White Caviar Crème Extraordinaire moisturiser a year later—both of which are designed specifically to target skin discolouration. With the introduction of its Equation of Light concept in 2019, La Prairie has harnessed its expertise in skincare technology to address light’s impact on the skin, as well as the luminosity within it.
