What comes to your mind when we say Zero40? The STD code of Hyderabad? It is time you begin to associate it with fun, music and most importantly, craft beer. Started by Anoor and Aditya, Zero40 has become a must-visit destination on Road 10.
Tell us something about yourself. How did you come into business?
Anoor has an MBBS and an MBA degree. Aditya has a Masters degree in Physics & runs his family business, a diversified conglomerate. We both have always loved beer! A random discussion (over beer) about putting Hyderabad on the national beer map led to Zero40.
What gave you the courage to start a brewery, still considered a new concept in Hyderabad?
We wanted to start a beer-themed place before the microbrewery licenses were given out and we were looking at getting kegs from various countries. Once the microbrewery policy was announced, it just made more sense to start a brewery in Hyderabad. We came up with a few names and put it to vote with family and friends. We are a democracy after all! Of all names, Zero40 was selected as it also refers to the STD dialling code of Hyderabad (040).
Any initial hiccups?
Time was the biggest challenge. We have one of the biggest breweries in Hyderabad by square footage and it was a huge challenge to get it up and running. We had a target of opening in December 2016 and we managed to meet that target.

With a successful stint behind him in Delhi and Bengaluru, a beer-loving chemical engineer-turned-businessman decides to test his expertise and acumen with beer in Hyderabad. Owned and brewed by Vikram Seam, Vapour Brew Pub, is one of the most happening places in the city. People from all over the city flock to Road No 36, where Vapour Brew Pub is located.
