James Deakin hits the road in Peugeot 3008, the newest player in the compact SUV market.
Marvel fans know what Morgan Stark really meant when she numerically expressed how much she loved her old man, but automobile connoisseurs would probably get that she was on to something else entirely, save for the fact that she was short of a few more numbers. It’s the compact SUV that shatters the mould for the segment and creates an entirely new dilemma for anyone with three million pesos to spend on a luxury car: this is the Peugeot 3008. First launched in 2009 and reintroduced in 2017, the French company’s most celebrated creations, having received several awards across the globe.
“We are very proud of our new SUV,” Peugeot Philippines president Glen Dasig says quite boastfully. “The Peugeot 3008 SUV GT Line is a culmination of our core values as a company,” he adds. Combining style, athleticism, and efficiency, the Peugeot 3008 SUV GT Line fits the exacting needs of the premium segment in the country, providing the best of all worlds to both drivers and passengers alike.
It’s hard not to share Dasig’s enthusiasm because the Peugeot 3008 is really the proverbial game changer, filled with ground-breaking technology and design never before seen in previous models. There’s really a lot to look forward to.
The new Peugeot 3008 takes a pretty bold approach to the compact SUV segment—or is it a crossover? The fact that it has you constantly guessing is part of its appeal. Take those signature feline LED front headlamps, long bonnet, large wheels, and relatively high ground clearance. Contrast it with a black diamond roof that appears to float—thanks to some tasteful chrome highlights—and you’re left with a rolling contradiction that leaves you with more questions than answers.
