THE COUPLE REVEAL THE TOUGHEST PART ABOUT FILMING HOUSE RULES
TANYA & DAVE: ‘BEING AWAY FROM THE KIDS WAS HARD'

As parents to three young children, Perth couple Tanya and Dave’s priority is creating a home that fits them as a family and spending time together.

But despite working long, tension-filled hours as contestants in this season of Home Rules: High Stakes, the twosome confess they enjoyed every moment of their freedom during the production process. Especially the romantic dinners together and drinks with their new friends after filming.

“I told Dave, this is the only time it’s ever going to happen so you better enjoy it.

“When we get back home, it’s back into parent mode,” Tanya, 38, tells New Idea.

Dave, 36, admits that they both gained a bit of weight during their time on the show as a result.

“There was always time to get out and have a beer in between renovations so that probably didn’t help my fitness aspirations.”

Back home, their children – Luke, 8, Ben, 7, and Emily, 4 – were looked after by Tanya’s parents, Eddie and Rosemary.
