TOM CRUISE’S CONTENTIOUS RELIGION IS ONCE AGAIN IN THE SPOTLIGHT FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS
Scientology Scandal

The Church of Scientology has found itself in the middle of a new scandal, with the religion’s leader David Miscavige served with legal papers this month accusing him and the church of involvement in child trafficking and kidnapping.

As first reported in the online publication The Underground Bunker, the scathing lawsuit has been filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court by former Scientology member, Valerie Haney, who left the religion in 2017.

According to Radar Online, Valerie is suing for “intentional misrepresentation, concealment, false promise, kidnapping, stalking, libel, slander, constructive invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.”

However, the most disturbing allegations pertain to Valerie’s claims about Scientology’s sub-organizations, known as Sea Org.

“The Sea Org, in large part, functions by way of human trafficking, including the trafficking of children,” the filed lawsuit reads.
