AN EXPLOSIVE NEW BOOK UNCOVERS THE TRUTH ABOUT MEGHAN – AND HOW SHE TORE THE ROYAL FAMILY APART
ROYALS AT WAR!

In New Idea’s exclusive extract of Royals at War by Dylan Howard, the shocking inside story of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s life as royals is revealed. From Kate’s secret meeting with the Queen to ask advice on dealing with Meghan, to how a troubled and increasingly isolated Prince Harry is now coping away from royal life. Plus, a former friend of Meghan’s reveals how the actress’ behaviour changed dramatically after finding fame on Suits.

KATE BREAKS ROYAL PROTOCOL

Even before Meghan and Harry’s May 2018 wedding, there were reports of tension between the American and royal staff, courtiers and, increasingly, family members.

The dramas and alarms, the nerves and tensions, the tears and tiaras all reached a boiling point in December 2018, when Kate was seen visiting the Queen for a discreet conversation.

It’s rumoured that Kate was seeking advice from her grandmother-in-law, a long and staunch ally of hers, over how to deal with the unpredictable and troublesome new Duchess.

But now it appears Kate has realised her efforts were for nothing.

Kate had made visible attempts at getting along with Harry and Meghan over the preceding year, after Charles had warned them all to make an effort. But now things had changed. “Kate’s standing in the palace has never been so high, so she feels no obligation to make nice with Meghan and Harry,” an insider said.

The source added that Kate would “not be apologising or attempting to mend fences until they reciprocate the effort she and William have been making with them for well over a year now”.
