INSIDE THEIR DESPERATE RETURN TO OZ
NICOLE & KEITH - FLEE HOME TO AUSTRALIA

In the cold, murky predawn light, Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and their daughters disembarked their private jet at Sydney airport last week and set off for two weeks of self-isolation at their stunning Southern Highlands mansion.

Nicole, 53, was overjoyed to have her boots on Aussie soil after months of pining for home during a time of terrifying global uncertainty.

With her 80-year-old mum Janelle starting to show her age – and being in the most at-risk category as COVID-19 cases spike again in her native Sydney – Nicole’s calling to leave Nashville and head Down Under was growing louder by the minute.

Add in her close bond with her sister Antonia, and it’s no wonder Nic used her considerable swagger to pull strings in NSW to allow her new limited series, Nine Perfect Strangers, to be filmed locally.

On the other hand, sources tell New Idea that Keith, 52, who has a bigger following of his country music in America than he does in Australia, was on board for one reason only – to save his 14-year marriage.
