TWO YEARS ON, THE TEEN IS SLOWLY REBUILDING HER LIFE
KIDNAP SURVIVOR JAYME CLOSS ‘I'M GROWING STRONGER EVERY DAY'

The horror was unimaginable when on October 15, 2018 just before 1 am, dressed in black with a mask, hat and gloves, Jake Thomas Patterson pulled into the driveway where 13-year-old Jayme Closs lived with her parents, mum Denise, 46, and dad James, 56, in Barron, Wisconsin and shot her dad in the head – killing him instantly.

The cold-hearted killer didn’t stop there. Fuelled by pure evil, he forced his way into the family home to hunt down Denise and Jayme, who were cowering in the bathroom.

With a shotgun blast to the head, he killed Denise as her helpless daughter was forced to watch.

Patterson – who was warped with sick and twisted fantasies of abducting girls – became infatuated with Jayme after a chance encounter when he saw her getting off the bus on the way home from school.

Plotting to make his cruel dreams a reality, and after murdering her parents, Patterson kidnapped the sweet, loving schoolgirl and held her captive in his basement just an hour away from her home.

Police were frantic when they arrived at the scene to find a brutal double murder and a missing teen – gone without a trace!
