It’s The Shock Development The World Is Talking About.
Her murder has long stumped detectives. Angel-faced beauty pageant princess JonBenet Ramsey was found strangled in the basement of her home 22 years ago, but nobody has ever been charged.
However, the discovery of sensational letters from a long-time suspect Gary Oliva might be about to change that.
The letters, sent from jail where he is serving time for child pornography charges, reportedly confess to the killing, saying it was a terrible accident.
“I never loved anyone like I did JonBenet and yet I let her slip and her head bashed in half and I watched her die. It was an accident. Please believe me. She was not like the other kids,” one letter reportedly says.
The letter was sent to Michael Vail, a former school friend of Oliva’s and has recently been obtained by online news site Daily Mail.
Further correspondence is just as incriminating. In another letter, Oliva wrote: “JonBenet completely changed me and removed all evil from me. Just one look at her beautiful face, her glowing beautiful skin, and her divine God-body, I realised I was wrong to kill other kids.
“Yet by accident she died and it was my fault.”
Six-year-old JonBenet was found dead on Boxing Day 1996.
