IT WAS THE PURR-FECT DAY WHEN SCOTT WED HIS BELOVED KITTY, OLIVIA LE CHAT
‘I MARRIED MY PET CAT'

The worldwide coronavirus lockdown hasn’t been the best scenario for romance, but over in Los Angeles, it inspired Scott Perry to marry his beloved cat!

Marketing expert Scott, 49, has had Olivia Le Chat since he met her at an animal rescue event in 2015.

Smart Olivia jumped into Scott’s then-girlfriend’s lap and it was love at first purr.

Back home with the couple, Olivia spent most of her time hiding under the furniture, only coming out to tap Scott on the shoulder or his foot when she wanted to be fed.

But a year later, Scott’s girlfriend moved out and Olivia started coming out of her shell.

“She was a changed lady when she became the only girl in the house,” said Scott, who has an apartment in upmarket Santa Monica.

“She was less and less shy and started exploring the apartment more.

“I changed her name to Olivia Le Chat from Colette because it sounded even more ladylike and she’s enjoyed being treated like a princess.

“Olivia’s a pretty name and she deserved to be treated like a little lady. It suits her.”

Two months into the lockdown, Scott decided to pop the question and invite other cat lovers to watch online to generate support for LA’s Best Friends Animal Society.

He set up a wedding page online and invited friends and family to view the ceremony over the internet.
