Dubai-based company PCFC Hotels transformed the iconic Queen Elizabeth II (QE2) ocean liner into a floating luxury hotel with 800 suites, a heritage museum, an English-style pub, a cabaret club, and 13 restaurants.
Do you remember the iconic opening scene of Disney’s 1998 re-make of The Parent Trap? Played to the tune of Nat King Cole’s L-O-V-E, actors Dennis Quaid and Natasha Richardson danced and drank through their honeymoon aboard the iconic Queen Elizabeth II (or commonly referred to as the QE2) ocean liner. The film captured the grandeur of the ship, which sailed through the Atlantic with a high net worth clientele and premium amenties from the late 1960s to 2008. Eventually, the Cunard-owned ship stopped sailing and was docked at its home base of South Hampton.
