Designer Cable

MATERIALS

-Patons Inca 50g: six balls of Light Taupe (7039)

-7mm (UK 2) circular knitting needle (60cm/24in long)

-Stitch marker

-Pair of 30-40cm (12-16in) braided bag handles or similar

-Cable needle

-Wool needle

-6mm (UK 4/US 10/J) crochet hook (cord)

Finished size:

37cm (14 1 ⁄2in) high x 35cm (13 3 ⁄4in) wide approximately, excluding the handles

Note: This is an intermediate+ skill-level knitting project with a cabled pattern knitted in the round. Yarn quantities are approximate as they can vary between knitters. Check the ball bands to ensure all yarn is from the same dye lot. There’s no US equivalent for 7mm needles.

ABBREVIATIONS

beg = begin/ning; cont = continue; K = knit; P = purl; patt = pattern; rep = repeat; st/s = stitch/es; tog = together; yfwd = yarn forward – bring yarn under needle then over into knitting position again, making a st.
