If your daily exercise is becoming too much of a walk in the park then doing it the Nordic way could be the way forward. Gill Stewart, director of Nordic Walking UK, describes the exercise as being on a cross-trainer, but outdoors.

‘I took it up when I lived in the mountains of France because it provided a daily whole-body workout without me having to find a gym,’ she explains.
