WHAT IS CATIFICATION?

A term coined by the famed cat behaviourist, Jackson Galaxy, catification is about adjusting a home to meet the needs of both the pet parent and the fur kid. After all, pets are family, and you need to look after the well-being of family members, right?

Felines are predators by nature, so they have a need to jump, scratch, climb, hunt, perch, play, and most importantly, they need territories they can call their own. If your cat is showing signs of aggression or unusual behaviour – unless the reasons are health-related – it’s often a sign that their primal needs aren’t met. In other words, they are not able to do ‘cat things’.
