You don’t necessarily have to leave the house to get a quality spa experience. Set up a spa at home and incorporate elements that are pleasing to your all five senses- sight, smell, taste, touch, and hearing.
AROMA, AROMA AND AROMA
Many spas use their own signature blends of essential oils. At home, apply some essential oils to an aroma burner or add to some water and spray it in the corners of the room. If you are looking for a soothing or calming aroma, my favorites are Lavender or Lemongrass. If you don’t have a diffuser at home, lighting aroma candles can give the same effect on mind and body.
MUSIC THERAPY
When you enter a spa, you typically hear a relaxing background music. Music is known for its ability to calm down the mind and relax the body. You can choose from your favorite playlist or any music with sounds from nature- water flowing, chirping, sound of wind, etc. This will help you to reconnect with nature and creates positivity in the mind. Some raga based Indian classical music and Mantra chanting can also give you a variety of choices.
