Favre-Leuba is, simply put, one of the most iconic Swiss watch brands, that no one is talking about. Not least because of the fact that in 1985, shortly after the devastating Quartz crisis, the brand experienced a change of hands affecting both visibility and innovation. Flash forward to 2011 and the brand, now acquired by Titan, began its ascent to regain its former glory. The acquisition marked a homecoming of sorts for the brand, in India, as it was the first Swiss brand to set up shop in the country, way back in the 1820s. It eventually dropped off the grid, almost 40 years ago; its departure precipitated by the tectonic shift taking place in the Swiss watch industry.
