Tengo recuerdos muy vivos en el patio de mi casa haciendo ballet con mi papá. Me acuerdo de un escenario improvisado que puso en mi jardín y presenté una pieza para los vecinos. Más adelante, recuerdo cuando competí en República Dominicana a los 18 años. Presenté una pieza mezclando karate con ballet. En aquella época hacía taekwondo, y me pareció una buena transición.

Somos 11 hermanos y todos bailamos en algún momento de nuestras vidas, aunque algunos tomaron otros caminos. A mí me conquistó el ballet. Me obsesionó la mecánica, la técnica, y a mi hermano Esteban también. Fuimos los que nos metimos de lleno.

Yo me encontré con un panorama distinto al de cualquier niño mexicano que quiere dedicar su vida al ballet o a las artes. Tuve el apoyo de mis padres porque los dos son exbailarines y mi papá era mi maestro. Sentía que era algo normal que compartíamos todos, y pude pasar un tiempo especial con mi papá.
