Comienza a anochecer mientras el actor asiente serio: “Prometo dar lo mejor de mí en esta entrevista”.
Eddie Redmayne se hizo a sí mismo en el teatro a pesar de que algunas voces le avisaron que no podría sobrevivir en él. “Muchas personas se encargaron de decirme que nunca funcionaría, que solo lo logran casos extraordinarios y que no podría vivir de esto profesionalmente”. Hasta su padre llegó un día a su casa con una lista de estadísticas sobre jóvenes actores en paro. Redmayne, que es bastante modesto, educado y divertido, añade: “Pero disfrutaba tanto del teatro que llegué al punto de pensar que si tan siquiera pudiese hacer una única obra al año por el resto de mi vida... claro que la haría. Y eso me llenaría por completo”.
