Planning your way to the perfect CHESHIRE WEDDING

This is it. It’s happening. Left hand, fourth finger: the most beautiful, sparkly engagement ring you’ve ever seen. Planning a wedding can – and should be – one of the most lovely and memorable experiences of your life, if only you remember to enjoy it. You’ve got your dress and you’re probably already in full swing with the engagement celebrations, but this is just the beginning. There’s a whole agenda of things to put into place, be it the venue or wedding stationery, bridal-party outfits or organising where everyone is going to sit - no simple task. But while you’re there, ticking off your to-do list, be sure to take a moment in the madness to count down the days and relish in the fun of being a bride-to-be.

PLANNING THE PERFECT DAY

Before you start planning, it’s a good idea to sit down as a couple and discuss what’s important to you both on your big day. Co-owner of wedding planners Fabulous Together, Andrea Swift, says a wish list is a good place to start. ‘What does your venue need to have, and what are you willing to compromise on?’ she says. ‘There are so many lovely venues in Cheshire, but make sure you don’t fall in love with one without checking its Ts and Cs. Don’t leave it too late to find out that you can’t have fireworks, wear stiletto heels – yes, really – or that the music has to be off at 11.30pm without sound limiters.’
