Ask a watch collector about the stories behind his acquisitions and you’d likely be regaled with romantic tales of provenance and ‘the hunt’, or the notion of a commemorative timekeeper. Clearly, stories are at the forefront of many a beloved timepiece and Tudor is not short in that department.

Birthed in 1926, Tudor’s genesis is inextricably tied to Rolex’s, both linked by a common founder, Hans Wilsdorf. In the years to follow, however, Tudor has slowly but surely come into its own. Developed for robustness, reliability and quality, but at a more affordable price point than other watches of the same calibre, Tudor watches have earned themselves a stellar reputation amongst different groups of aficionados and fans.

Military Power

One of Tudor’s biggest fans is the Navy. Which Navy, you ask? Why, all of them. Okay, ‘all’ may be an exaggeration but the brand did supply watches to the French, American, Canadian, Argentine and South African navies. That’s military might from four continents, if you’re counting.
