Crafting Out A Niche

Craft beer has earned a reputation for spirited and personality-driven brews. It has also garnered a fervent following of people who want to wet their whistle with something different. And while the scene here is relatively young, adversity has revealed just how much passion continues to be in play.

Despite the recent closure of local watering holes, the brewing community has soldiered on with the introduction of the #SGCraftTogether kit of craft beers. Now in its third edition, this collection of home-grown beers can be bought in either a six- or 12pack. From brisk summer ales to zany goses, this project boasts an expansive palette of flavours and experiences.

BREWLANDER RESPECT PORTER & BREWLANDER MANGO SALAD GOSE

In today’s scene, it’s common to conflate porter and stout given their similarities. History and etymology notwithstanding, there are differences though, and Brewlander’s Respect is a porter that’d easily illustrate this if you’re already familiar with stouts. It’s well-suited to local climes with its mild heat, velvety mouthfeel and light finish. Expect notes of roast coffee and cacao, plus creamy toffee overtones.
