There is no denying that colours have the power to change the mood and ones mental state. In fact the use of colours is the quickest and easiest way to bring immediate change in any room. We spoke to artist and psychologist Kanak Nanda to get more informed about the trends and techniques in colours for the upcoming season.

As a designer, I would say “colour has power”. It evokes different moods and even changes the way people feel in a space. As an artist, I work with different colour combinations, textures, murals and techniques, to reflect the client’s personality and create spaces that tell their story. Being surrounded with art and colours most of the time, I can easily say that painting walls is much more than just deciding on the paint colour. A few interesting and decorative wall painting techniques when mixed with various colour combinations can make the walls of any home visually more attractive and dramatic.

The first and only formula to start is don’t be afraid to use colour. And then these are some of the trending techniques and colours this season.
