The duo’s ability to foresee both design and market trends has helped them in transforming space in various segments. Over the years, lucrative design commissions and successfully executing them have brought them numerous awards.
Here, both Rupesh and Archana Baid share their view on transforming spaces through selective fabrics, furniture and more…
How would you define your personal style, when it comes to home interiors?
Sleek, contemporary finishes but with a warm and classic touch. We like to mix styles in a way that is subtle and luxurious.
As an expert in this segment, what according to you are the parameters one should consider when designing an aesthetically-functionally home?
To design an aesthetically pleasing home, there are various factors that are to be considered, like the lifestyle, space and ventilation, forms, materials palette and lighting.
The requirement and prerequisites of a space depends a lot on the lifestyle of an individual or the family. And that could differ for different age groups as well. Eg. we just finished a project for our youngest client till date, who is under 30. His adaptability to design and concept was very different than that of a middle aged client, say above 45.
Space and ventilation partly dictates specific design elements, while natural ventilation plays an important role in sustaining the air flow of a space to nurture the comfort levels, hence increasing the productivity of the space.
