I am a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, best friend, mentor, philanthropist, winner of numerous business awards, positive thinker, a Sagittarian and a straight talker. I do what I say I’m going to do.

My personal home style is modern. I like mirrors, clean lines, glass and shiny bling. That’s my personal style too: Swarovski crystals and bright, strong colours.

My Umhlanga home is important to me because it’s my sanctuary. I work with a large staff complement and clients seven days a week, so I wanted my home to be a place where I can spend time with my family and “just be”.

This home was chosen for its spectacular views. I call it the fish bowl. It’s on La Lucia Ridge and I can see the whole of Durban and way out to sea from its expansive windows. I wanted to bring the sea inside: the walls are iridescent blue and two fabulous chandeliers that resemble effervescent bubbles look down over the lounge area. I had the carpets custom-made to depict sand, seaweed and shells. I find a sea view very calming. I also love the area as it’s close to where my entire extended family live.

My favourite room is my kitchen. It’s where I can be creative. I love being surrounded by all my fabulous gadgets and appliances.
