This month we enjoyed a weekend visit to the Radisson Blu hotel in Letterkenny, County Donegal.
The Radisson Blu is conveniently located on the outskirts of Letterkenny, Co. Donegalʼs main town, nestled within a large retail park area. The hotel comprises 114 rooms and suites offering all the comforts of a modern hotel including free wi-fi as well as a few luxury extras such as in-room nespresso machine, robe and slippers. We were staying in one of the business suites which was comfortable and spacious decorated in calming neutral tones with a superking size bed.
The hotel holds an AA Rosette Award in Culinary Excellence and food is served in the Port Bar & Grill where you can enjoy a leisurely drink and live music at weekends as well as relaxed bistro dining in a family friendly atmosphere. The menu offers a great selection of light bites and main dishes. We enjoyed pear and cashel blue cheese salad and seafood chowder to start followed by chicken curry and sirloin steak finished off with creme brulée for dessert. There are also plenty of child friendly options for families including burgers and pizza to keep the kids happy!
