Designing an industrial campus is equally challenging like any other built- forms; it is not just a block of buildings that are bleak in appearance. Elcom International Pvt. Ltd., an exporter and manufacturer of electronic components and consumer products, approached Beri Urban & Environmental Planners LLP (BBUEP), with a complete rebranding strategy, to conceive and design a green industrial and research facility. The Elcom campus is tactfully designed blending in perfect geometry of forms and sustainable principles.
The campus consists of an R&D administrative facility, mould and press shop, assembly, store building and affiliated facilities that comprise staff cafeteria, electroplating shop, effluent treatment plant etc. The layout not only takes advantages of the local climate and transportation, but also expedites the production process to create a coherent environment for the staff. The interiors of the new office portray modern idiom, through the use of uniformity, minimalism, and attention to detail.
