Design For A Collaborative Work Culture

In our modern attitude towards work ethos, ‘collaboration’ is the key for efficiency in the workplace. Here’s an office space, with design strategies to inspire positive and collaborative work culture. Rajeev Sathe, the architect uses sepia tones together with minimalistic modern furniture, to create a warm and welcoming office environment, while bringing in a ‘touch of hygge’.

Since it’s a known fact that the business profits are driven by employee’s productivity and well-being, office spaces are being increasingly designed to be employee-centric. An investment management firm in Mumbai probes into this trend by seeking to balance formality and informality, openness and privacy, to make the work environment more easy-going. The Scandinavian design aesthetic – simple, minimal and warm – is the one-stop design solution that has been kept in mind while designing this space.

Perched on the topmost floor in a high-rise near Mahalaxmi Racecourse, the office enjoys a marvelous view of the Mumbai skyline. The project has refreshing openness for a city where space crunch is an issue. Large windows flood in natural light and visual access to the outside from any corner of the office. A break-out area for informal discussions and overall transparency enlivens the space and encourages communication.
