Padmini Pandey took the challenges she faced head on, and turned them into the main interiors focus of this home. The client, a young couple, had nothing in common except for their love for each other and the winters of London. The result: the concept of autumn dreams was born

PUMP UP THE VOLUME WITH PLAID

Padmini has maximised the presence of plaid and used this winter weave to bring to life the brief. “Plaid is immediately associated with English and winters.” Owing to which, she recreated the pattern on a texture wall covering that runs along the length of the walls. She further adds, “We decided to wrap the room with plaid to ease out the woody flavour of the room.”

Baby, it’s cold outside...but here, in the bedrooms of this Mumbai home, it’s always warm and toasty. All due credit to Padmini Pandey, architect, interior designer, master planner and founder of her eponymous studio. Her client, a young urban couple, belongs to a large joint family, and she was tasked with the job to focus on just their master and kid’s bedroom.
