Charlotte Gueniau’s imaginative decorating style has created a vibrant home full of colour and character

With an interiors career steeped in colour, fun and seasonal updates, Charlotte Gueniau was never going to live in a lacklustre home. And after a recent refurbishment, it is filled with even bolder, brighter tones, along with statement features including her own wallpaper designs.

‘My husband Philippe and I moved here for practical reasons, so that our children, Max, now 21, and Selma, 19, could easily get to school and hang out with friends,’ says Charlotte. ‘We found the house through a real estate friend, and it met our requirements for high ceilings and plenty of space.’ Charlotte, who is founder/CEO of Rice, filled the originally stark house with painted backdrops and vibrant homeware. But as the children grew, the family’s needs changed and Charlotte’s own style adapted.
