Government of Uttar Pradesh, while delivering a speech at the Annual Healthcare Innovation Summit, held recently in New Delhi.
Feeling little sad about the current situation in Uttar Pradesh, he said, “I have identified problem areas in UP’s healthcare delivery system in the last four months since taking the reins in hand. I found that problems can be solved as it is not as difficult as it seems to be. We have Rs 8,000 crore healthcare budget for Uttar Pradesh. 25 percent of total population has been covered by Ayushman Bharat. It is not difficult to cater to the rest of the poor people as approximately Rs 1500 crore would be required for the same. But it is not happening at the moment.”
