Does it Matter?
Yoga and Total Health|November 2020
In our material life, we often expect to reach the level of perfection. However, this will only lead to unhappiness, as the basic function of the material world is to keep changing. What's there today, might be something else tomorrow. So, in this area, having fixed notions is the wrong approach. But when it comes to others, the words ‘Chalta Hai' should always come into your mind. Whether they speak with love, anger, or hate, you should tell yourself, Chalta Hai, i.e., it does not matter.
Dr. Hansaji J. Yogendra
Does it Matter?

So, as far as our relations with others are concerned, the correct approach is to be satisfied with what it is and accept it. But when it's about your own self-development, the Chalta Hai attitude should never come into the mind. Here, you have to keep observing your thoughts. If you speak angrily, Chalta Hai cannot be tolerated. You must be aware at all times and act accordingly. If the mind is agitated, try to calm it down. In such cases, if you think it is alright, then you will only invite diseases, tensions, and anxieties.

In Yoga, it has been mentioned that the material world must be kept aside. The Vedas consider this world to be an illusion, i.e. Maya. Yoga says, understand this material world but don't get stuck in it, or don't let it create hurdles for you. Otherwise, it will only be a cause of your unhappiness, sufferings, aches, and pains. Don't leave any negative thoughts to seep into your mind. Only good thoughts should be stored in your subconscious mind so that there is no room for the ill effects of negative thoughts like anxiety and stress. For this, you will have to take the necessary efforts to think of only good and positive thoughts.
