I regularly treat acne sufferers in my clinic and for many women it can be a confidence-sapping condition. A recent survey carried out by the British Association of Dermatologists found that 54 percent of British adults who have experienced acne say it’s had a negative impact on their self-esteem, while 22 percent feel it’s inhibited their social interaction. While no one is claiming that pimple patches are a cure for severe acne, they can be a useful quick fix for the occasional isolated spot. Here’s what you need to know.
