With a goal to expand beyond their current offering and also sustaining the previous achievements of his father, Dr. Arun Palaniswami, Executive Director of Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) Coimbatore, Dr. Arun plans to carry the baton forward as a next generation of health care provider. Coming from a family where Medicine is the Blood, he follows the steps of his father, Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, a Visionary and Legendary Medical professional, who has relentlessly served people at KMCH over the past 28 years.

Born in U.S, Dr. Arun N Palaniswami, came back & forth to India for his education. Having completed his MBBS in Manipal, he pursued MD internal medicine in the U.S. After working for 8 years across various successful institutions in the United States as a practicing physician, he returned to India and joined KMCH in Jan 2015. He handles the Business administration of the group and is the Head of Quality Department handling the continuous quality improvement and accreditation processes across all the hospitals, along with administrative challenges.

From dreaming about Aerospace Engineering to becoming a Doctor:

Contrary to popular assumption, his family didn’t always want him to get into medicine. While being from a medical family is something to be proud of, it is also important to be able to explain your independent attraction to medicine. Always dreaming to be an aerospace engineer and bringing about change through science and technology, he had his own reasons to become a doctor instead.
