Public health efforts at the time of publication were focused on containing the spread and mitigating the impact of this virus. The Florida Department of Health is working closely with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to monitor the outbreak of COVID-19 and is actively working to ensure that the most up-to-date CDC guidance is quickly and accurately disseminated to communities. The Florida Department of Health is urging residents to stay informed on how to protect themselves and their communities from COVID-19.
According to the CDC, reported illnesses for confirmed COVID-19 have ranged from mild symptoms to severe illness and death. The following symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure:
