As people around the world process, cope, and adjust to life in the time of coronavirus, the dynamics of everyday life continue to change.

Virus updates dominate the news. Social media posts are filled with memes and horror stories. Conversations are laced with words like quarantine and infection rate. An environment of uncertainty has set in.

As adults, we have the tools to evaluate the situation and moderate our level of concern. Children, on the other hand, don’t yet have these tools. That’s why it’s important to talk to children and help them understand what is, and isn’t, going on.
