This fall will mark the 20th year that arthritis advocates will pedal California’s scenic Pacific Coast Highway to raise funds for arthritis research and programs. The Arthritis Foundation’s California Coast Classic (CCC) Bike Tour, an eight-day ride, covers more than 525 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
In 2019, the Tireless Advocates, composed of five Arthritis Foundation staff members, joined the ride, even though none had cycled before except for leisure. None had done any serious fundraising, either, but each raised at least $3,500 to participate. The whole team has signed up to do it again in 2020.
